Takra

Takra is the ultimate probiotic and super at cooling a pitta imbalance. It’s made from fresh yogurt but much lighter and easier to digest since it’s made with water and spices. It can be taken 30 minutes before a meal to stimulate agni (digestive fire), or after a meal to aid in digestion and prevent burning digestive problems.

Ingredients for 1:

1/4 cup fresh yogurt

3/4 cup filtered water

1/8 tsp pink salt

1/4 tsp cumin seeds

1 tbsp fresh cilantro

Method:

  1. Place the yogurt and water in a blender and blend on high for about 15 seconds (if you don’t have a blender, just shake the yogurt and water vigorously in a mason jar).

  2. Skim the fat off the top.

  3. Add the remaining ingredients and blend to mix.
